unicorniptionI decided on the moniker unicorniption just because at the time I thought it was a cute way of saying I was having a conniption over unicorns but more because I honor my own uniqueness.(Of course, really, we're all unicorns because we're all unique like our thumbprints, brain chemistry, histories, idiosyncrasies, etc.)
WHO AM I ANYWAY is a great question. I'm attempting to learn about myself, always. That is in large part why I am here, blogging. To learn as I write. I learn best when I read the work of others and when I actually process my thoughts with the written word. I am always trying to grow, change and evolve. I am hoping that this blog will help facilitate that journey, the journey to the center of myself. I love the idea that perhaps I evolve like a manic sort of Pokemon. So who I am has changed over the years. I will be blogging about that, I'm sure.
So who am I? I go by Laine in my day to day life. I am a writer who likes to write poems (I don't for some reason like calling myself a poet) as well as prose, fiction and creative nonfiction/memoir. I will be doing a bit of all of that here.
More to follow, soon. I am going to attempt to blog daily, journal style. I hope to show some art here also. So, woot and huzzah, a new blog is born!
